Phase-II Examination Structure
The typing examination consists of two papers (Hindi and English). Both papers are further divided into a Speed Test and an Efficiency Test.
Paper I: Hindi (DevLys 010)
Paper II: English (QWERTY)
Crucial Exam Lab Rules
1. Minimum Passing Marks
Candidates must score a minimum of 9 marks in each individual section (Speed and Efficiency, for both Hindi and English) to avoid disqualification.
2. The Backspace Rule
Backspace is heavily restricted. You may correct errors within the current word you are typing. However, once the Spacebar is pressed, the previous word is permanently locked and cannot be edited.
3. Error Penalty Calculation
Marks are awarded based on Net WPM. Extra words typed, skipped words, and spelling mistakes directly reduce your accuracy percentage, drastically dropping your final marks out of 25.
4. Special Characters (Alt-Codes)
In the Hindi DevLys 010 test, candidates must be proficient with standard Remington Gail Alt-Codes (e.g., Alt+0170 for त्र) as passages routinely contain complex administrative vocabulary.
